Description
A challenging singleplayer/co-op map set inside a medieval keep, featuring mostly interior gameplay and lots of self built custom assets. Recommended to be played on Normal difficulty unless you're an experienced player.

Ah, the fabled Watchman's Keep.

I admit your idea of hiding in a wine barrel until those troopers left perhaps wasn't the best one, but at least we gained sneaky entry into the keep. If you like a bit of history, I'd gladly recall a few things for you. This keep is located on the French-Spanish border, and is called Watchman's Keep due to the constant border watch operations scheduled here...but there is another reason. While this keep is rather small for a military outpost, it also houses a popular chapel of one of the Saints, a certain one called the Watchman by his pilgrims. As such, the keep has had a small priesthood of its own maintaining the chapel, as well as being used by the militia for border checkouts.

This is a fairly rich keep, Sam. The gold and loot from the Muslim wars was often transferred here for safekeeping before being sent into the neighbouring kingdoms, so you'll probably see a number of holy artifacts and Christian relics scattered around, particularily in the priests' quarters. Perhaps we should check them out and see if there is anything of use to us around there.

We came here because a certain relic in particular, which probably rests in the chapel of the Watchman, is causing a strong time disturbance. I believe it's connected to the Holy Grail we sought earlier in the Grand Cathedral; it would be good if we could restore any lost artifacts from this period before moving on to Sirius. If Mental has manipulated them, we could face pretty grave consequences when...or rather if, we get back to the present.
Explore the keep freely, I have a feeling we will be here for a while.

Hard difficulty, 100%. Absolutely enjoyed it - juicy battles, nice balance, fun secrets. 9/10

Recommended mod. There's only one level without much resolution and too many invisible walls, but the chaotic close quarters castle fights create a great experience plus there's a decent set of secrets. Difficulty was mildly hard on Normal with an infinite ammo custom game.

The map is not that bad, actually pretty good. The custom textures and music adds to the experience, however the enemy counts are absolutely ridiculous for those small corridors. 6/10 Would dark souls again...
